Observe a panel in a consented experience.

Aive lets you observe how a panel uses, understands or feels about a product through test videos and guided journeys. Protocol, consent, sample and anonymisation are set before the first answer is collected.

What is a video-based behavioural study with Aive?

It is a study in which a consenting panel watches test videos and answers questions. Aive organises the sequences, collects answers, verbatims and declared sentiment, then produces a report linked to the moments viewed. The study follows a defined protocol, a documented sample and anonymisation. It produces no unproven psychological inference.

Declared sentiment
What participants say they feel, collected through a question, never inferred from their image.
Protocol
The written study plan: goal, sequences, data collected, retention and limits.
Anonymisation
Processing that prevents linking an answer to an identifiable participant.
Outcomes sought

Understand usage, with evidence.

Understand usage

See where a product is understood, misunderstood or abandoned along a journey.

Test a message

Compare test videos and the responses they prompt.

Document verbatims

Link every verbatim to the video sequence that prompted it.

Decide with care

A report that separates observation, interpretation and recommendation.

Protocol

A study scoped before the first answer.

Research questionWhat the study seeks to understand, and what it will not measure.
  2. 02
Protocol and consentFlow, data collected, retention period and informed consent.
  3. 03
SampleSize, criteria and representativeness limits, documented.
  4. 04

  5. 05
Collection and anonymisationAnswers, verbatims and declared sentiment, anonymised per the protocol.

No unproven inference

Aive infers neither personality traits nor psychological states from videos or answers.

What the study does not prove.

  • No unproven psychological inference is produced.

  • Sentiment is declared by participants, never inferred.
  • No study starts without documented consent.
  • The report separates observation, interpretation and recommendation.
Frequently asked questions
Does Aive analyse emotions on participants’ faces?

No. Aive collects sentiment declared by participants and produces no unproven psychological inference.

Who recruits the panel?

Recruitment and its criteria are defined at scoping, with your organisation. Aive documents the sample and its limits in the report.

Is participants’ data protected?

It is anonymised per the protocol, with retention and access defined in the contract, within the GDPR framework. Aive has published a SOC 2 Type II report; its ISO 27001 process is under way.
